Canada stamps hold a lot of Canada history inside and that is why a stamp collector keeps looking forward to buy Canada stamps online. There are currently many websites offering Canadian stamps to a stamp collector of any place of the world, and they have catalogues so that a stamp collector can take a look at what they would be able to find and get.

Collecting stamps is a good way to learn the history of countries all over the world, and Canadian stamps are not an exception. Canadian Stamps portray famous leaders, milestone events, and notable accomplishments of each country, and a stamp collector loves that. One of the very strong issues that a stamp collector is facing nowadays is the number of new issues, because there are too many already.

When it comes to Canadian stamps, the Canada Post Corporation (CPC) has actually reduced a bit on the number of Canadian stamps issues, although booklet varieties have increased. Despite that, nobody can deny that the number of Canadian stamps issues in a year is substantially higher than it was back in the days when the present generation of stamp collectors started filling their first albums. Other parts of the world have been much less fortunate, because it seems like hardly a month goes by that there are no stamp collectors trying to organize a protest against the number of new issues, there they don’t produce any during certain months. Stamp programs are planned a year or so in advance, and postal authorities, while hearing stamp collectors demanding fewer issues, are also weighed down by more requests for stamp issues than they can possibly fill and, no matter how many stamps are issued, stamp collectors will still go for them and want more. Not only that, but once a stamp is put into production, it simply has to wait for a buyer. We can refuse to buy ugly or irrelevant stamps, but that may not have all that much impact. There is not such thing as a stamp authority destroying unissued stamps and thus far, hated ideas can be put to rest. The reputation booklets, which basically saw businesses getting honored in Canadian stamps in return for picking up production costs, lastly ran its course. CPC stopped the program and I honestly don’t know why, but I’d like to think that somebody finally woke up and did something about it.

My understanding is that as stamp collectors we can only have a limited impact on Canadian stamps issues; we can request more issues or demand for less, but more importantly, we can offer opinions on the quality of Canadian stamps issues. As a group, stamp collectors are more informed about good and bad stamp design, printing quality, and counterfeit protection than the average Canadian, but we also are more informed on the history and traditions behind the postal issues as well. Collecting Canadian stamps is great and you can learn a lot of history of Canada by taking a look at the stamps and also reading its origin, and you can do all of that online, which is my recommendation for the day.

Collectors spend a significant amount of time, effort, and money acquiring their personalized stamps to build their collection, however many make a vital mistake; that mistake is not selling their personalized stamps while before their death; the knowledge of how, where, and when to actually sell a stamp catalog collection is an incredibly important part of the personalized stamps collection process; The family of the avid collector will not appreciate the effort that has been put into creating the collection of personalized stamps as the collector did; Thus, the collection may not bring the potential profit it should, so the collector should take responsibility in their collection by either training a child in this unique hobby or by gaining the best possible profits from their personalized stamps collection; However, there are advantages and disadvantages with each way the collector decides to sell their collection. Several collectors may decide to sell their personalized stamps directly to stamp catalog dealers, but the disadvantages to selling to a dealer is that dealers will usually give the lowest price for personalized stamps, especially if the collector is attempting to sell a huge quantity; The dealer may also only give the collector a wholesale value, which means that someone else is going to receive the profits from your collection stamp catalog when they mark them up; the advantages of selling your collection to a dealer is that it is a very quick process and usually it is done in cash; If the collector has a bulky collection that is not organized, then this may just be the best choice. Some collectors prefer to sell directly to other collectors through shows or stamp catalog clubs and it is not unusual for any collector to sell their collection to friend, who collect personalized stamps; Auction houses is another avenue that any collector could choose when wanting to sell their entire collection, although their collection to personalized stamps will be broken down to sold individually at other private sales. Personalized stamps collection the market value of the stamp catalog must first be determined; however, many collectors do not understand or have the knowledge needed in determining the true condition of personalized stamp, so the collection stamp catalog may need to be taken to a professional to be evaluated; Relaying on the individual or dealer to determine the purchase price means that they must be trust worthy, so there is some danger in doing this, especially if they are the one who are buying them. A collection of stamps catalog can also be sold by private treaty, which means selling your collection to another collector through the use of a private agent; The agent acts as a middle man, who is a personalized stamp dealer or a private auctioning house where the sales will include either one personalized stamp or your entire collection; Ultimately, the private agent or middle man will receive a fee or percentage for their service, which will decrease your profits. The advantages of using a private treat are that it is a cash sale, your collection to stamp catalog would be sold entirely, and the profits would be better than by wholesale or directly to a dealer; the disadvantage is that the price for your collection may be less after the private agent receives their fee.

Many stamp collectors keep talking about how great are rare stamps nowadays. They comment about prices, about where they can be found, about tips for taking good care of their collections of rare stamps, and all of these is because of one simple reason: rare stamps are the most valuable kind of stamps, since they hold a lot of history inside. Curiously, sometimes they are so simple, but rare stamps still hold a lot of history, whether from wars, cultural events, etc.

Rare stamps can be found in nearly all of the postage systems in the world, and are often over a century old. Two of the best known rare American stamps are the “Inverted Jenny” (which is actually a printing error) and the “1-cent Z grill” stamp.Just two 1-cent Z grill stamps exist, and there is only one available to stamp collectors, while the other one is in the collection of the New York Public Library. There are other famous and rare stamps include the Treskilling Yellow, Mauritius “Post Office” stamps, British Guiana 1c magenta, and many others.

Today, we are going to talk about creating your own personalized ink stamps in the case that you are not interested in collecting rare stamps, even when we agree with the fact that rare stamps hold a lot of history for us, regardless of what country rare stamps come from. Today we are not going to talk about rare stamps because we already did in another article some months ago, but we are going to provide good tips of how easy it is to create personalized ink stamps to be used in any envelopes that you need.

First of all, I will start mentioning the classification of custom ink stamps. It goes from permanent ink, pigment ink, dye inks, fabric ink, watercolor, heat-set, and alcohol. The most important of all is dye or pigment ink stamps, since they are the most frequently used. Pigment ink stamps are of higher quality, water based is thicker and also found in many colors. They are long lasting and consequently their colors do not fade away promptly.

First of all, you have to plan a design and determine the way you want that design to look like. Then, create a self-appointed pattern, something that you created by your own. Get a photocopy of it then. Once you have the design ready, draw the pattern of photocopy on white eraser. After you have drawn your pattern, use the marker for making it dark. You can then add text or image and cut your design watchfully using scissors or craft knife. Use sheet of foam for making ordinary design for the stamp, and fix them on wood block accordingly. After doing this and using the stencil, draw your pattern. Using a dye-cutting machine will guarantee a great design. Use thick foam sheets and paste them along with double-stick tape, so you get a fine image.

Get an elegant look through the realization of ink-lifting method and finally, add bold patterns to the stamp using ink (they may be either heart-shaped or circular, any pattern that you wish to use). I hope you have enjoyed the tips explained above and start investing your creativity on your new ink stamps created with your own hands!

There is one problem that many ink stamps collectors face nowadays, and that is finding the best way to display mint or unused stamps while protecting them at the same time. Perhaps is sounds like something very easy to do, but it is not, because ink stamps are so vulnerable to dust, wind, water, etc. Scrapbooking, making cards and decorating with rubber ink stamps is a lot of fun. People also use rubber stamps at work to stamp dates and messages on documents and files. Either way, it’s important to keep your ink stamps clean to ensure a nice, clear image every time you stamp.

The first step you need to follow is taking baby wipes, basically start applying the ink stamps on the baby wipe or pick the stamp up and wipe it off systematically. Then dry the ink stamps on a clean and absorbent paper towel. Finally, make sure the stamp is completely dry before reusing it. The second step you need to follow is use an ink stamps scrubber, a 4.1/2″ x 7.1/2″ plastic case with a scrubbing pad inside the case and add a little water and dish detergent or stamp cleaner on half of the scrubbing pad and leave the other half dry. When you are finished using a particular stamp, drag the stamp across the wet half of the scrubbing pad and after the ink stamps are clean, continue pressing the stamps into the dry part of the scrubber. Remember to make sure the stamp is completely dry before reusing it. The third step you need to follow is damp a sponge using water and a drop or two of dish detergent, then rub the ink stamp over the sponge until it is clean. Meticulously, dry the stamp using a paper towel and as a warning: do not use rubbing alcohol on rubber ink stamps or on acrylic stamp blocks, because it can damage them.

After knowing how to protect your ink stamps, I think it is important for you to have an idea of how you can create your own personalized stamps, because by creating your own stamps you will save money and add a touch of personality and creativity to your details. Before you create your personalized stamp, you need the following materials to proceed: a Utility or Exacto knife, a large pink eraser, pen, a photocopy of your design and fingernail polish remover (acetate). These materials are not hard to find, you can visit an art or crafts shop, and they will make it easier for you to create your personalized stamps.

The personalized ink stamp method we are going to use is called the Simple Method. First, place the items you will need in a well lit, neat and ventilated workspace. Then trace or draw the pattern you want onto the eraser. Then write any words backwards before carving and see the picture at right for an example of a personalized stamp created with this method. Shape away everything but the design; fasten the eraser to a wood block for durability and user-friendliness.

As you were able to see in this article, creating personalized stamps will add creativity to your envelopes as well as it will make feel your special someone very special! Put your hands on and create your own personalized stamps now to impress everyone!

In this article we are going to analyze stamps costs, that way you guys can be well informed about how stamps cost has slightly increased little by little over the pass of the years, and then I will mention some important facts about a personalized stamp, one of the alternatives you have in the world of stamps. First class stamps were first introduced by the United States Postal Service (USPS) in July 1885, so here is a short history from 1885 to present day so you can find out how much cost has increased in a little over 123 years. The first class stamps cost increased to three cents for the second time in July 1932 where it stayed for 26 years until an increase to four cents in August 1958 took place.

Ever since the increase to four cents in August 1958, the first class stamps cost rose in one-, two-, or three-cent increases no less than once every five years until April 1988 and then the rate jumped from 25 cents in April 1988 to 29 cents in February 1991. Besides that, there were two more increases in the 90s and in 1995, we saw an increase to 32 cents; in January 1999, first class stamps cost rose to 33 cents. Stamps Cost Increases: Cost of Postage went up several times in latest years: Since the turn of the century, first class postage has risen five times, and the cost increases took place in January 2001, June 2002, January 2006, May 2007, and May 2008. These increases are obviously more frequent than past increases; perhaps the arrival of the internet and amplified use of email contributed to the necessary increases.

Individuals no longer put their faith in mail exclusively to send personal messages. You can send greeting cards electronically, which most likely cuts into USPS revenues and may drive the need for frequent stamps cost increases to compensate that. The only way you can stay away from paying expensive stamps cost on or after May 11th is to purchase Forever stamps. Forever stamps cost is cheaper and they can be used to mail a one-ounce letter. They are purchased at the current first class stamp rate, but can be used forever; apart from of how high stamps cost can go (no price is noted on the face of the stamp, that is why you have to ask yourself before you buy stamps).

A wise thing you can do is creating a personalized stamp; a personalized stamp is an opportunity to personalize you mail correspondence by making stamps with virtually any possible design, so you can upload your images and designs to a website that provides stamp publishing services. Getting a personalized stamp will also include getting also personal delivery and even custom designing as some authorized vendors allow. After uploading or delivering your desired personalized stamp images, these vendors and service providers would make the necessary adjustments in color and size then print your personalized stamp.

As a matter of fact, there are some restrictions when it comes to what type of images are authorized as appropriate for creating a personalized stamp; USPS added a criterion for potential personalized stamp vendors, a screening method where designs now must pass following USPS rules and copyright laws and vendors are required to fully put into practice this screening process before printing any stamps, to guarantee the legality of your personalized collection.

I imagine you guys have probably seen envelopes with beautiful collectors stamps on them that make them look great. Stamps are actually small pieces of gummed paper bearing an official mark and indicating that a tax or fee has been paid for the envelope to arrive to its destiny, and they usually have historical designs or any design that related to the country from where the taxes are been paid, and there are stamp supplies to protect them. Some stamps reflect the beauty of a country, while some other stamps show or any type Collectors stamps have become so popular, specially because some of them are so valuable and people pay whatever they are worth for. In this article, I would like to give you guys an idea of how you can protect your collectors stamps and where to find them cheaper than usual and also what types of stamp supplies you can find as well.

The basic rule of having collectors stamps is to enjoy what you’re collecting and take good care of your stamps with stamp supplies. Still, you can collect whatever stamps you like and display them in whatever way you like. Some people like collectors stamps by the country (traditional), and some by the design on the stamps (topical), while some people collect many copies of just one stamp issue or just one type of stamp (specialist), and some people collect every stamp they see (worldwide). The most important thing when you are new in the collectors stamps world is to start, at least with what you have at hand and somewhere along the line you will find the stamps you really want, but you definitely need to learn is how to take care of your stamps, which is always possible when you get stamp supplies. Stamp supplies are different items that can help collectors to keep their stamps in good condition, protect them from dust, moist and wind safely.

Examples of stamp supplies that you can find online are white envelopes, glue, containers, etc. and you can find them in many stores, bazaars, bookstores and on the internet, which is known as the cheapest way to find anything, and stamp supplies are so cheap online. When you start out you don’t need a lot of stamp supplies but a lot of tongs, envelopes and a storage box to protect your . The tongs you’ll have to buy from a stamp shop or at a stamp show. You can use clean, plain white envelopes when you start. Write the name of the type of stamps on the envelope to help you organize your stamp collection. It is always a good idea to put your collectors stamps into a clean and sturdy container or box. If you have an empty drawer that you can use, that’s fine to; stamp collectors use just about every type of container imaginable. Many types of paper have high levels of acidity or other properties that over time can harm the stamps inside but it is perfectly acceptable to momentarily store your collectors stamps in these regular envelopes for a few weeks or so.

Later on starting your stamp collection you should have a good pair of pincers and your glassine envelopes filled with collectors stamps stored in a clean container on a shelf in a quiet part of the house away from any pets, food or drinks, or a bathroom shower, as any of those can cause damage or destroy your valuable collection. Unfortunately for all collectors, good catalogs are expensive, but fortunately for most of us many public libraries have copies of catalogs on their shelves that you can check out, and if not you might be able to pick up a second-hand stamp catalog at a used book store, a stamp show or at an online sale. Most collectors stamps have their country printed right on the stamp, but some have the country name printed in their native alphabet which may not look like anything familiar, but it might take a little while for you to identify these stamps, but there are quite a few places on the web where you can go for help. What about collectors stamps albums, you might say…they are made for displaying your stamp collection to others; there are many kinds of albums, but let’s get going with the way commercial albums are made.

Album pages can be printed on both sides of the page, but those printed on just one side are better so collectors stamps don’t rub against each other when the album is closed. As an important fact, I have to say that perforation of the stamps can catch onto the stamp on the facing page and bend, tear or mangle the stamp. My recommendation for you if you are a beginner in the world of collectors stamps is to decide which collectors stamps you would like to collect and investigate online how to get a catalogue and then get all those stamp supplies that will give you a hand to keep your new stamps in excellent condition.
